Alcohol October 11, 2016

Journal: Please describe to me what you have learned from drug addiction and use 4-5 sentences.

Objective: TSWBT write one to two sentences about a problem drinker, alcoholic, and social drinker.

Lesson: I had the students come up with their own definition of a problem drinker, alcoholic, and a social drinker. Then as a class we did an activity were we put descriptive words under each category on the board. Each student had a opportunity to come to the board and put a description under one of the categories.

Assignment: N/A for aspire

Baseball October 12, 2016

Bell Work:

Draw the foul line.

Describe the foul line.

Objective: The Student will follow all the rules and instructions.

Lesson: Students played baseball, but instead of a baseball we used a dodgeball, and we called it Dodgebase.

Pacer Test

Objective: Students will encourage each other through the pacer test by providing positive feedback.

Lesson: students practiced and performed the pacer test. The students kept track of their score and recorded on their worksheet which I (Casey Swain) will keep in the classroom for future references.

Assignment: This assignment will be graded in the future as a part of their standards.

Fit for life September 30, 2016

Objective: the student will be able be active for 50 percent of the class.

Lesson: the students did a warm up, freeze tag. For today the students were practicing lifestyle activities during class and being active for 50 percent of the class period.

PE Baseball September 30, 2016

BRING WARM CLOTHES FOR PE. It will be getting colder as it gets closer to winter, you may bring a long sleeve shirt, hoodie, and or jacket to wear. We will be outside most of the time.

Objective: create personal goals based on fitness gram.

Lesson: students were given the opportunity to practice their skills at striking objects, and then at the end of the lesson we played kickball to practice base running. At the first of the lesson the students created their own goals to practice on for baseball.

Health September 21, 2016 Refusal skills/saying NO

Journal: describe to me what active listening skills you used during the dress code discussion. Use at least 3-4 sentences.

Objective: TSWBT write five ways to say “NO” in the examples porvided.

Lesson: we played rock, paper, scissor as a class and we played a variety of ways which led into the lesson of how we use different responses for different situation. We also talked about how we can say no in those different situations.

 

PE baseball September 19, 2016

Write down two things you know about baseball.

Draw the baseball field.

 

In class today we talked about the rules of baseball, afterwards students were given the opportunity to practice throwing and hitting. Students were given a variety of objects to hit and throw such as beach balls, softballs, wiffleballs and dodgeballs.
