Journal: What are some of the consequences of smoking and using E-ciggs? please use at five sentences when explaining.

lesson: We talked about the drug research project, what was required and where can they get their information from, and where they can too if they have questions. Then we finished with our smoking project and activity and used straws to demonstrate how it affects them.

PE March 16, 2016

warm up:  Students turned in their journals/warm ups for this week and from last week and turned them in on the respected chair.

lesson: Today the students worked on their test which is ten questions long, with an extra credit questions. Then students finished the lesson by playing basketball, playing lightning, a game, 21, and horse.

Journal: Pick  two types of the four drug types and explain to me what they are in five sentences or more.

Objective: TSWBT write down the effects of tobacco and E-cigs.

Lesson: Today the students learned about the history of tobacco, causes, effects, and who does the tobacco company target and why. We also talked about E-cigs and what they are made of and how they are used along with the consequences with using a E-cig. Students also learned how nicotine works and its affects on the body.

Warm up: Write down the skill cues for passing and dribbling.

lesson:  Today we reviewed for the test on Wednesday, we talked about who invented basketball, some of the rules, skills, and skill cues. then the students played basketball.

Journal: Describe to me what a social, alcoholic, and problem drinker are in five sentences.

Lesson: We reviewed what we talked about last week, and defined very briefly what a social drinker, a problem drinker and what an alcoholic are. We talked about what they do and how they act and what makes them who they are. As a class, they took a test about stimulants, antidepressants,  opioids, and depressants. After the test the students defined each one, explained what it is used for, gave examples, and found one drug and explained what it does and which of the four categories it falls under.

warm up: students wrote the skill cues for shooting a basketball.

lesson: Students were reminded of the test for basketball for the next coming week on March 16. Then students practiced their dribbling by playing king of the court, then they played a game. 8th grade students were pulled out for a assembly, and the rest of the class practiced basketball.

Journal: Please write the three factors or signs that show drug dependence or that play a role in drug dependence.

Lessons: We reviewed the lesson from Wednesday, which we talked about factors of drug dependence, we also discussed some of consequences of drinking alcohol. After the students found their own article about drinking, we defined what a alcoholic, problem, and social drinker are in their own words. From there students listened to a song that had the lyrics that described a problem drinker was and what that looks like. Then as a class we used to key words to describe what a social drinker, problem drinker, and alcoholic are.

Warm up: write the four skill cues for passing.

lesson: Students learned about four different games and how to play the following, lightning, around the world, 7 on the line, 4v4, and horse. Then they played two of the following to practice the skills that they had previously learned in class and worked on applying them in their games.

Journal: there are four purposes that prescription drugs are used for, name two of them and describe what they are in at least five sentences.

Objective: TSWBT describe three factors for drug dependence.

Lesson: We talked about prescription drugs and what their purposes were and how they affect the body. After that we discussed how people become addicted, how they reach that high and low. The reasons why people get addicted and what drug dependence does to individuals and how it affect their lives.

warm up: List the three skill cues for dribbling.

lesson: As a class we reviewed the skill cues for dribbling, and passing. We then watched a short video clip about shooting and listed the three skill cues for shooting. Afterwards the students practiced dribbling, passing, and then they played games using the  three skills cues for shooting.
