It’s Farm Time – donating ingredients..

On March 11th & 12th we are going to visit Holmgren farms in Tremonton. 

Picture1During these visits we will be working as a community to provide a dutch oven chili lunch.  If you don’t like chili be prepared to provide an alternative lunch for yourself.

We are looking to families to sign up for needed donated ingredients.  We are also interested in inviting a small number of adults to enjoy the day with us.  If you are interested, or are already driving up and wish to stay you can try our chili.  Send Ms Jaime an email jboothe@mariamontessoriacademy.org if you are interested.  See the link below to sign up for ingredient donations. Holmgren Historic Farm

Permission Slips were passed out today for the Holmgren Historic Farm. We will be splitting into 2 groups. Half the Jr High will attend on Wed, March 11 & the other half is attending on Thur, March 12. The students have already been assigned their specific day to go. Today each student was given a permission slip for their day assigned to them. These must be returned by Thursday Feb 26th if they are planning to attend.

They may be a wejoinin link posted later if carpool is needed. However, parents are responsible for transportation to & from the Farm.

Still needing Transportation to the Leonardo?

We have asked that parents provide transportation for their children for our upcoming Field Trip to the Leonardo on Feb. 27th. If all carpool spots are filled please ask your childs friends parents how they are getting there, perhaps you could take while the other picks up.

Natural History Museum Field Trip is Tomorrow!

Students need to be at the Museum no later than 9:45 am! You will need to drop them off at the circle drive in front of the Museum. Please be available to pick up your child at 2:00pm at the same place.  The address to the Natural History Museum is 301 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108

Students will use the museum as an extension of their classrooms. They will rotate from teacher to teacher and be given lessons in the areas of math and art, science, language arts, history, and CTE. Students will also have time to visit museum exhibits on their own and purchase souvenirs from the museum gift shop.

What you will need to wear or bring:
Comfortable, modest clothing
Comfortable shoes
Water bottle
Sack lunch (NO microwavable lunches)
A writing utensil (pencil or pen)
A smile
*Money, if you want to purchase items from the gift shop

Transportation to the Environmental Center

Environmental Center

Parents or Certified Drivers will be responsible for taking their child to the Environmental Center on Thursday Nov. 20th at 9:00 am & pick them up the following day, Fri. Nov 21st, at 1:15 pm.
