New Student Orientation

1:00-1:45: 1^st levels and new 1^st -3^rd levels & any new Early Childhood A.M. that did not attend Kindergarten Orientation last Spring.

2:00-2:45: 4^th levels and new 4^th -6^th levels and any new Early Childhood P.M. that did not attend Kindergarten Orientation last Spring.

1:00-2:45: 7th graders

We welcome all the 7th graders to come and meet their new teachers and be introduced to their new environment and schedule. We will meet in the common’s area, the portable that the most is south east (closest to North Shore’s parking lot) at 1:00 on Friday, August 15th.

Construction has begun, folks!

Since I have your attention here is a date to put on your calendar:

July 15th Pool Party 7-9pm @North Shore. Come celebrate the summer with the rest of the school. It’s our treat. MMA students and their families are invited.

Expect your schedules, supply list and more information early August. The school will be mailing them out, so if your address has changed contact the office. If you haven’t confirmed your intent to return we encourage you to do so TODAY! We are ordering desks and supplies and would love the most accurate count we can.

Finally, for those families who are utilizing the free labor resources of their wee ones this summer to clean out and organize we ask that you keep MMAjr in mind as you sort through things you no longer need. We will be stocking our own kitchen and making numerous ‘peace areas’. (lamps, sofas, rugs, plants, as well as kitchen items; can opener, toaster, dishes, kitchen tools, pots, pans, spices. ) If you hear of anyone who wishes to get rid of things send them our way or have them contact Ms. Emily and she will arrange a pick up! Prizes will be awarded to the top archers.

In addition to the archery opportunities there will be other activities and information to enjoy including;

Carpet Squares for Grabs

Last Day of School!

Tomorrow the students have organized a pizza and ice cream social. They can bring a ice cream treat to contribute or a few dollars to go toward Pizza Man Pizza.

We will open the day with a community meeting, wrap up the year, hand out CTE folders, distribute end of year report cards and enjoy signing yearbooks. I do have 2 extra if you didn’t purchase one. They are 20$.

Side note: if anyone runs into some ‘extra’ flag stone they would like to donate we could use it on our outdoor classroom bridge. It ended up being a little short and needs to be shifted over to better suite the natural path of kids entering they gym. Contact Ms. Emily egoddard@mariamontessoriacademy.org

Futuristic Resume Due Thursday

Tomorrow is the final day that I will accept your resume for the future. Remember, you are writing it as if you are 25-30 years old for your dream job. Have fun choosing where you will get your post high school training, future jobs and awards. You can even make up you address and phone number. Just make sure that you have your name so I know who you are. Feel free to email your final project at egoddard@mariamontessoriacademy.org
