It was brought to my attention that if you start your child immediately on the MyOn app, before visiting the sight on the desk top, it will skip assessing your child.  It is important to make certain they complete the assessment in order to accurately level your child’s reading level.  The assessment is adaptive, so it is difficult to give you a clear idea of how long the assessment takes, but on average I am hearing it takes about 20 minutes.
