I am preparing for our field trip to the Treehouse Museum on Tuesday, December 13th. This will be an afternoon field trip and I will be sending details, along with permission slips after the break. I am in need of chaperones. We will arrive at the museum at 12:45 p.m. and leave at 2:45 p.m. Please note that younger siblings are not permitted during field trips, this is a policy of the Treehouse Museum. Book Feast
This Friday we will be having our annual Thanksgiving Book Feast. Students may bring books from home to read and share with their classmates. They may bring a small pillow and/or blanket, but it must be able to fit into their lockers. If you choose, your student may bring a healthy snack to share.
Original Works
Just a quick reminder that original works orders are due Monday. It is a great gift idea for the holidays and raises money directly for your child’s classroom!
International Festival Home Projects
International Festival is coming up on December 19th and 20th. Every child is required to research a country. As you are aware, our classroom is presenting Europe. Home projects will be researched during the month of November and presentations will start after the Thanksgiving break. I will expect for all home projects completed and presented no later than December 15th. This will need to be completed on a 3 part board and show quality and care of work. The following is a minimum requirement for every child:
Name of Country, map, flag, language, food, famous places/ landmarks, and 10 interesting facts.
