Dear Parents,

MMA would like to offer you a great volunteer opportunity to help your child’s class by becoming a certified parent driver. This certification is good for 6 years.

We appreciate parents who become certified to drive students on class field trips. Having parent drivers allows classes to stretch their field trip funds by avoiding bussing costs. This can allow for more field trip opportunities for the kids.

For parents to drive students on field trips or to work with or around the students at Maria Montessori Academy, they need to complete a “Live Scan” fingerprint and Electronic Background Check by our management company in accordance with Utah State Law.

The steps to becoming a certified driver are:

Fill out paperwork:

1. 1. Volunteer / Driver Applicant Background Check Form
   2. Driving Forms and Procedures
2. Submit both payments at the time of fingerprinting.
   
   1. $25 for fingerprinting (Cash, Check or card made payable to Academica West)
   2. $35 for fingerprint processing (Check made payable to MMA)
3. Get fingerprinted
   1. Must have a picture ID for fingerprinting

That is all there is to it!

At back to school night on September 4^th we will have a representative available to do the fingerprinting for parents wishing to become a certified driver/volunteer.
