Field Experience on Friday, April 20th
at Ogden Botanical Garden

In celebration of Earth Day, Ms. Brittany’s class will be meeting at the Ogden Botanical Gardens. Students will explore lessons relating to their current botany curriculum and the importance of caring for our Earth. We will be participating in a service project which will involve cleaning up the Ogden River Parkway trail.
What you will do and what you will learn |
- Students will participate in botany lessons using the wide variety of plants available.
- Students will explore ways we can take care of our Earth.
- Students will participate in a nature walk.
- We provide a service to our community by cleaning trash along the parkway.
- Students will have an outdoor picnic.
What you will need to wear or bring |
- Students will need to wear clothing appropriate for the weather and working outdoors.
- Walking shoes
- Sack lunch
- Water bottle
- Sun protection (sunscreen, hats, etc.)
Our Schedule |
- Arrive at Ogden Botanical Garden at 9:00 a.m.
- Earth Day lessons 9:10-9:40 a.m.
- Botany work 9:45 a.m.-10:40 a.m.
- Nature walk and trail cleaning 10:45 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
- Picnic lunch and recess at Big D park 11:30-12:10 p.m.
- Walk back to Ogden Botanical Garden for 12:30 p.m. pick-up
