Ogden Nature Center Field Trip

The following reminder was sent home after school on Monday.  I am still looking for parents who would be willing to drive. Please email me asap if you are willing to help with rides.

Maria Montessori Academy

Field Experience on ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­March 26, 2018

at Ogden Nature Center

What you will do and what you will learn
  • Students will explore and learn about Trees in relationship to our botany studies.
  • Students will participate in hands on activities.
  • Students will have a short time to explore the numerous exhibits Ogden Nature Center has to offer.

 

What you will need to wear or bring
  • Students will need to wear good shoes and be dressed for outdoor weather.
Our Schedule
  • Rides will meet students, in North Shore parking lot, at 11:50 a.m. for departure to Ogden Nature Center.
  • Class will meet in main parking lot of Ogden Nature Center at 12:15 p.m.
  • Students will leave from Ogden Nature Center main parking lot at 2:40 p.m.
  • Carpools will arrive at Maria Montessori Academy at 3:00 p.m.

Gala

Did you know the Gala’s in the past have made the school money so they could purchase computers, bike rack, P.E. equipment, crosswalk flashing lights, etc…? This year the school is in need of a new playground and we are hoping to get enough money to make a big difference in the playground bill. In comes the GALA:) Our ticket sales for the Gala so far are looking a little sad. We are asking MMA parents to step up and come support MMA. If you can’t come to the Gala but would still like to contribute to the school. The following link has some donation choices:) https://squareup.com/store/mapa-9

OR we will be at the Northeast Corner of North Shore parking lot taking donations and selling Gala tickets this Wednesday and Thursday from 3-4 (drive thru style)!! Hope to see you there:)

Ogden Nature Center

Hi,

I wanted to quickly remind everyone that we have our Ogden Nature Center field trip coming up on Monday, March 26th.  We will be leaving the school at noon in order to meet our 12:30 p.m. start time.  If you would like to help with rides, please send me an email.  I would like to have a carpool sign up posted on Track It Forward by Monday.

Gala

Hi families,

I wanted to remind you about our biggest fundraiser of the year coming up on Saturday, March 17th.  The money we raise makes a huge difference within our school.  It pays to support technology, field experiences, the flashing safety lights at the crosswalk, and more.  Make it a fun date and come support the school.  There will be a wonderful silent auction, opportunities to bid on student artwork, amazing dinner, and so much more.  Come support out amazing community.  The link to purchase tickets can be found below.  The early ticket price end the 9th.  Mapa is still seeking donated items, please see the info below.  I hope to see you there!

 

With the Gala less than two weeks away, we are starting to wrap things up:) If you still wanted to donate to any of the class baskets here is a list of the baskets the room parents are just putting finishing touches to:

– Birthday party supplies cake mix/frosting/candles/party etc… We will need two sets total of this

50 States Home Project

Your child should have brought home their 50 states home project template.  At the top I have written the state they will research.  This template is a guideline for information, but not a limitation.  Please help your child be creative with their visual aid and don’t forget the written piece.  The project is due at the end of March.
