Deadline for MMA long sleeve T-shirts and Sweatshirts

Too cold for t-shirts? No problem! Dress code approved sweatshirts and long-sleeve t-shirts are available to order now for a limited time.  The order deadline is this Friday, December 12th.  No future order windows will be scheduled. MAPA plans to have them in time for Christmas.  Please make checks payable to MAPA (order forms are located in the front lobby)  or you can purchase them online using the link below. MAPA meeting and Box Top Store

Our MAPA meeting for December will be in the morning. Mark your calendars for Friday, December 5th at 8:45am in the Conference room. Everyone is welcome!

Box Top Store is December 16th! Have your child bring clipped, un-expired box tops to the Box Top Store to “buy” lots of fun things!

It’s time to re-enroll for Smith’s Community Rewards!! Smith’s Community Rewards makes fundraising easy…all you have to do is shop at Smith’s and swipe your rewards card! Gala is just around the corner! Saturday, March 21st. The Gala committee is working hard to make this the best Gala ever! Tickets will go on sale at the beginning of the new year. More information to come soon!

Box Top Store and Gratitiude Feast

The Box Top Store will be open for business Wednesday, November 19th during lunch. Please send clipped, un-expired box tops to “buy” lots of fun stuff!

The Gratitude Feast is this Thursday, November 20th! We have invited local therapists and social workers to come enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. This is our way of thanking member of our community for their hard work and dedication. The students are involved by helping with entertainment, decorating and making “thank you” cards.

MAPA Meeting and Gratitude Feast

Our MAPA meeting for November is tomorrow evening, November 6th at 7:00pm in the library. Everyone is welcome! This is a great oppurtunity for working parents to come and take part in our MAPA community.

Thursday, Novemeber 20th is the annual Gratitude Feast!!
We will be hosting local Social Workers and Therapists. It’s going to be an intimate affair
that will take place in the Jr. High “yurtable”. A wejoinin link is available for families to
start signing up to donate prepared food or help on the day of the event.

This is such a special event to show our school’s gratitude to hard working members of
or community by serving them a Thanksgiving meal. The students are involved by helping
with entertainment, decorating and making “thank you” cards.

Something new this year! We will be having a food drive in conjunction
with the feast. So be sure to donate non-perishable food. Boxes will
be set up at the school starting November 10th. The food will be
donated to local shelters.

 

Fall Festival

Fall Festival is fast approaching! It is Friday, October 24th from 4:30pm til 7:30pm. We are still in need of a few more volunteers. Custom Events will pay the school an hourly rate, per volunteer, to help manage rides and games. Please click on the link below to sign up:

Don’t miss the BOOK FAIR during parent teacher conferences October 13-15th 1:00pm til 6:00pm! The book fair will be located in the library. You can buy books for your child or your child’s classroom. Volunteers are always needed to help make the book fair a success. Look for a Wejoinin to sign up.

Friday, October 24th from 4:30pm til 7:30pm is the FALL FESTIVAL!
We invited Custom Events to bring us bounce houses, climbing wall and games! MAPA will sponsor a “goodie” walk, face painting, cotton candy and more! 6th grade will have yummy food to purchase! Invite your friends, family and neighbors! It’s gonna be a blast!

General MAPA Meeting and Committee Fair

Thursday, September 25th @ 7:00pm we are having our General MAPA meeting. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come! For coming, you will have the chance to win a school T-shirt, of your choice, courtesy of Miss Stephanie! 4 T-shirts will be given away!

After a brief meeting, join us for a fantastic committee fair where you can check out the different committees individually and on a personal level. Lots of wonderful things are going on that you won’t want to miss!

  • The 6th grade committee will be selling T-shirts starting at 6:30pm.
  • Gala will be selling raffle tickets. $2 each or 3 for $5. Take a chance at winning a Tablet or a Napoleon family BBQ grill.
  • Fall Festival Committee will be selling wrist bands. $7 unlimited rides or $10 for unlimited rides and games! You can also buy 4 tickets for $1!
  • Bring your spare change! The Spirit Committee is collecting money to purchase a school mascot, Monte the Mountain Lion!
  • Year book committee will have information on how to purchase your yearbooks!
  • Learn about safety and Red Ribbon Week with the Safety Committee!

The week of Sept 22-26

There are lots of things going on this week!

The Box Top Store is open for the first time September 24th. There are assigned times for Kindergarten, Lower El and Upper El. Be sure to bring your cut/non-expired box tops to “buy” all kinds of neat things!

If you are a room mom or room mom assistant, there is a meeting Wednesday, Sept 24th at 8:45am, in the conference room. We will be discussing upcoming events as well as sharing and getting ideas to help out our wonderful teachers.

Thursday, September 25th at 7:00pm is our MAPA General Meeting. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come! We will have all the committees there to represent themselves and answer any questions you may have.

Back to School Night

Remember, Back to school night is this Thursday, September 4th, from 6:30 til 7:30. We will be there to answer questions and help you decide which committee best suits you to join. (I know there are a few teachers who are still looking for a room mom.) Also, we are having a clothing exchange. Dress code and non-dress code items are welcome.

AND Don’t forget our first MAPA meeting Friday morning, September 5th @ 8:45am. Everyone is welcome!
