2nd Wolf Mountain Night

Due to popular demand, we have scheduled another night at Wolf Mountain for skiing/snowboarding group lessons. It is February 26th, 2014 4:00-6:00.

MAPA will be handling Wolf Mountain Ski/Board night registration at the following times during Parent-Teacher Conferences:
Weds Feb 5th 4:30-6:30
Thurs Feb 6th 1:00-2:30 and 5:30-7:30
Fri Feb 7th 3:30-5:30
We will schedule a couple more times before we need to turn everything in to Wolf….

There will be adult ski/boarding school. The cost is $12 for the lesson, $12 for the pass. You will need to either get your rental elsewhere or on your own at Wolf. Children pricing is the same as last time. $5 for the lesson, $10 for the rental, $10 for the lift pass. Meal tickets are available to all participants for $5.

We are scheduled for February 26th, 4:00-6:00. Like last time, please be there and ready to start the lesson at 4:00. Wolf is open until 9:00 and the lift pass is good till closing.

More info re: MMA night at Wolf Mountain

As was posted before, the MMA Ski/Snowboard Night at Wolf Mountain is January 22, 2014 at 4:00-6:00.

We decided to handle registration and payment differently this year to make it easier on all parties. MAPA will handle the registration, which will include payment, signing of the liability form for each child, and filling out rental forms for each child. I will deliver all forms and one large payment to Wolf Mountain the morning before we are scheduled for ski/snowboard night. This is being done so that Wolf Mountain can have lift tickets printed and rental equipment pulled before we show up. The cost for the group lesson, lift ticket, and rental equipment is $25. Your child can get a meal for $5. If you would like to pay by credit card, MAPA will add a 2.75% fee for processing as that is what we are charged per swipe. I will be working with Ms. Stephanie on times I will be at the school to get your children registered. For now, I’m looking at the first time on January 9th, 6:00pm, before our evening MAPA monthly meeting. There will be couple of other times before and/or after school, the dates are forthcoming.

Some questions have already come up and here are the answers received thus far:

1. What is the cost if your child has a season pass to Wolf and his/her own equipment? Deduct $10 if your child has his/her own equipment, deduct $10 if your child is a season pass holder.
2. Can you drop your child off and leave Wolf during the lesson time? Yes. The lesson starts at 4pm, be back before 6pm. Is there sledding for younger children? Not at Wolf Mountain.
3. Will there be transportation for the kids? No, parents provide it.
4. Can Kindergarteners take a snowboarding lesson? No. The minimum age for snowboarders is 8.
5. Are there discounts for parents/siblings? If parents want to ski, the cost is $12, or you can contact me re: chaperoning. Siblings can register for class provided the sibling is in grades K-7. The night is limited to children only.

Attached to this blog entry are a couple of informational fliers. One of them mentions bus transportation. This does not apply to MMA as parents are responsible for transporting their children.

If you have any questions, please send an email to Dore Elmer at deelady73@gmail.com. The blog isn’t checked on a daily basis.
