The Chili Cook-Off is Tuesday from 5:30-7:00. Our class would like to enter a pot of chili in the cook-off, but we can’t do it without your support. Please sign up to bring something in here:

Friday we have our Fun Run. Please log in to funrun.com to help support our school. Proceeds from the run go to help fund field experiences for students.
We are out of loose leaf notebook paper and would love some donations for the classroom!
I need your support at home:
We have been having a lot of behavioral, disrespect, and defiance issues within the classroom. Please remind your child what good grace and courtesy looks like. At the beginning of the year, students created and signed the classroom rules which include things like respecting time, the environment, others, and themselves and following the golden rule. Please remind them that they need to uphold the expectation they have set for themselves. This week we will be resetting expectations and focusing on what the classroom should look and sound like, and I would appreciate you reinforcing this at home.
We also will be starting a “Math Review” day in addition to a “Math Challenge Day.” This week, the focus is on addition. I would appreciate you working with your child for 10 minutes every night to reinforce this skill. For some this might mean working on math fluency and math facts, for others this might mean working on mental math with addition, for others still this might mean working on addition word problems. If you need ideas or clarification please email me.
