Dear Parents,

We have started a new online reading program. I’m really excited about it! Each student will need to go to myon.com to log in. Their username is their SSID number. (I’m sending home an index card with each student’s number on it). The password is “books”. I’ve suggested that they keep the password the same, as it will be easier to help them login here if ever they need to.

When they first log in they will be asked to rate genres of books so the program can offer recommendations based on their personal preference. Then they will be autpmatically directed to a reading assessment. This will assess their level of reading and books will be generated to match their ability.

Please have your child read a minimum of 20 minutes every day. This is a program that I would like them to utilize at home as often as possible.
