Winter conferences are now open and ready for sign up! Please choose 1-2 slots, should you know that your conference will run long. I have 39 slots available and 30 students total. If they could be, as much as possible, back to back, I would greatly appreciate it. I am a stickler for time, so please on time and I will keep us on time as best I can 🙂

Updates & Reminders:
READING KITS! If your 1st or 2nd grader brought home a plastic bag reading kit, they are DUE MONDAY! I have only received a few. I have the next books and materials ready to go. I have now added materials for ALL 1st graders (adding Ella and Ethan). Please sign the check off list and send the kit back.
Conferences start Monday! Please sign up, if you haven’t. I will be taking the link down at 7pm. If you haven’t signed up and need to and I have taken the link down, or you need to change your time, please email me. I disable the link so I have everything organized in order of those who signed up.
The book fair opens during conference days!
Our field trip is on Oct. 21st. Remember to let me know who is driving your child. Most of you will meet us there at the farm. Those who arrange someone to take their child at North Shore will be picked up there. Please see my post below on Black Island Farm info and times for drop off and pick up. I will be reminding at conferences too 🙂
Fall Festival is Oct. 23rd. Time is from 4-7. You can buy wrist bands for $8.00 or separate tickets, 4 for a $1.00. Tickets and wristbands will be on sale during conferences.

The first conference of the year is upon us!
Conferences start Monday October 12th and go until Wednesday the 14th. Each conference is 20 mins long and starts at 1:30.
Please sign up for Spring conferences! This last round of conferences will be run by your child. Each spot will be 20 minutes. See you all there!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent teacher conferences are NEXT Tuesday-Thursday. I just sent a post before this one with the sign up link. Please sign up ASAP. Sign ups will close on February 8th (Sunday).
Field Trip
I have only had a small handful of parents email me that they will coming with us to The Planetarium. Please let me know if you are coming. I will also be asking at conferences just to double check.
We will be taking the Frontrunner. You will sign your child’s permission slips at conferences. I will send home permission slips with those children who’s parents are coming to conferences.
Parents of Asher and Ty, if you want your child to attend our field trip, please come by and sign a permission slip!

Hello everyone!
I will be returning to the classroom next Monday, the 6th!
Conferences!
Our first round of conferences are approaching. Please look to the right of our blog and click the link to sign up for conferences. Since I have been on maternity leave, Ms. Anna and I will be there and Ms. LaVonna will be there for as many as she can. These two ladies have done a wonderful job running the class and will be sharing with you:
-DIBELS and/or UURC Reading Score
-Writing sample
-Math Assessment/Sample
-MMA progress report
I will have been with your child for a week before conferences start, so my plan of action is to show you plans I have to track to your child’s progress and hear any goals, concerns, and/or questions from you and/or Ms. Anna. Fall conferences are mostly about observation and what goals we want your child to work towards until the next time we meet (2nd conference)
If you are my two families who has their child in Ms. Suzie’s class, please sign up on her conference sheet. I had to create a break for myself so I could take care of some personal things for my baby. There are 27 spots open, so everyone should get a spot!
Black Island Farms Field Trip!
On October 23rd (a Thursday), our class will be taking its first field trip to Black Island Farms in Syracuse. Our class and Ms. Jalee’s class will be attending. If you would like to drive your child, or you are certified driver to take other children, please sign up to drive! Once I am back, I will make up the permission slips and find out the time.

This coming week is busy! We have the International Festival Wednesday and Thursday. Lower El’s presentations are on Thursday. It is all morning, starting at 9am. Please have their festival projects in on Wednesday so we can set up the classroom! You are welcome to attend the festival on both days if you wish.
Parent teacher conferences are also this week! Starting Wednesday and ending Friday. Please sign up if you haven’t.
Monday begins Come observe our classroom month! Each parent gets a half hour to view what work cycle is like.

Pizza Friday is BACK! Each slice is $1.75. Money must be in by WEDNESDAY! No exceptions. Money this year must be in check form. NO CASH PLEASE! You may also pay up to only 4 weeks in advance. All these reasons helps keep things orderly and counting quicker. Pizza Friday begins this week, I believe!

Our first conference is upon us! Please use the we join in link below and sign up! The teachers get a dinner break at 5pm until 5:30 for dinner, so where it says dinner, please DO NOT sign up. The last conference will end at 4:50 before dinner and the next will commence at 5:30pm. Conferences go from 1:30-7:00 to accommodate schedules. It is helpful to me if every sign up is close together, but you do what is best for you!
Please be on time and be aware of other people’s times too.
Montessori Manager will produce a report for you to see what your child has been working on. It has been easier to input morning works into the program. I post what we do in cultural on our blog weekly. If you have any questions, please ask away! I will do my very best to answer them! Ms. Kathy, our reading specialist will also make herself available if you have a child who goes to one of our reading specialists. Ms. Nancy has stated she will make some time as well if you have a child in social skills. If you have a child who sees Ms. Rachel, please make a time to sign up with her too!
