MMA Junior High

We are excited for the upcoming intersession when we wrap up our cycle theme of ‘structures.’ We are looking for some guest speakers to come visit our school to speak to small groups of students on January 25 and/or January 26.  We are reaching out to the community to find folks with interesting occupations, experiences, or expertise in the area of structures to enrich our intersession activities.  If you would like more information please contact Ms. Emily at egoddard@mariamontessoriacademy.org

The Administrative team in MMA’s Junior High wants to hear from students.  Please take a moment to complete this survey, and let us know how we are doing.  Please only complete the survey if you are a student, and only complete it once.  We will be accepting feedback until December 23rd.

Monday: Preparations for International Festival (research, collecting needed materials, etc.)
Tuesday: Work Cycle (come prepared with your prioritized plan)
Wednesday: Large Community Meeting
Thursday: Work Cycle with travel (get rid of those ‘M’s in Aspire!)
Friday: Finish preparations for International Festival

Monday, December 19th,  you will not have 1st or 2nd period.  We will be providing a fun service for the elementary students for International Festival from 9-11. Report to your house first thing so you can set up.  Third period will be scheduled as usual.

Tuesday, December 20th, you will have a regular schedule with until after lunch.  Then from 1-2:30 you will repeat your international festival activities. From 2:30-3 you will deeply restore so all is in order for our long winter break!

Please sign up for which room you would like to eat lunch in for the month of January. We encourage students to coordinate with friends to select a room that works for them. Please sign up once, if sign up more than once all of your names will be deleted. Also, make sure that you sign up with your correct name, all other names will be deleted. The sign up will close the morning of January 1st, students who do sign up for a room will be assigned one by Mr. James.

Hello Everyone,

We are looking for Parent Chaperones for the Jr High Field Trip to the Holmgren Farm in Tremonton. We are in need of 2 Chaperones for November 16^th and 1 Chaperone for  November 17^th. Your assistance will be needed from 9:00am – 2:30pm.  The Farm is located at 460 N. 300 E Tremonton, UT 84337.

Students will be going to the farm with their Advisory House:

Wednesday: Moving Work Cycle (note change this week from Thursday)

Thursday:  Make Chili and restore classrooms thoroughly in preparation for the break. 

Friday:  Early out, lunch in advisory houses
