The MAPA parents have worked hard this year providing us with so much support and resources. They chose a theme for each class to put together a basket for the Gala Fundraiser happening in March.
Our basket theme is, Adventure Is Out There. Here are some donations ideas: camp chairs, sleeping bags, marshmallows, gram crackers, flashlights, roasting sticks, camping gear, etc.

We were notified that STEM week has been moved to February 3rd. Therefore, we are pushing all our home projects back a month. The Science project will be due in February, Zoology project is due in March, and the Physiology project is due in April. There will be no home projects due in January or May.
For the STEM fair in February, the students’ will present a science project.
3rd grade: Simple machines or forces of motion
2nd grade: Scientific Method
1st grade: Research a scientist

We have our International Festival on Friday, November 22nd from 1-3pm. Your child’s November home project on a country from Africa will be set up in our classroom for students and parents to view. If you would like to choose a different country than what I chose for your child please let me know. I randomly selected countries to try to diversify the projects.
Please do not start bringing in the projects until Wednesday and no later than Friday. Part of the requirements for this project is the have it on display for the festival.

Our class will have a crazy hair day tomorrow, Thursday, November 14th. This is part of the pledge-o-meter incentives and is optional.
Our class gets to have, wear your favorite shirt day tomorrow, Tuesday, November 12th. They must still be in the dress code for their pants. Thank you!
