Carpool:

Here is the link to sign your student up for carpool. If they are not placed in a car, it will be your responsibility to get them to USU Botanical Center.

Drivers:

Please meet in the North Shore parking lot at 8:40am. We will meet at the Utah House at USU Botanical Center in Kaysville.

What to bring:

Please watch the weather. We will got on our field trip rain or shine!

  • We will learn about electricity and how we can conserve in the Utah House.
  • We will learn/identify different animals found in pond water.
  • We will learn/identify different types of leaves found in Utah.

Our Schedule
  • Depart North Shore Parking Lot at 8:40am
  • Arrive at USU Botanical Center at 9:20am
  • Guided Field Trip: 9:30-11:30am
  • Meet for lunch at 11:30am
  • Depart USU Botanical Center at 12:00pm
  • Arrive at MMA at 12:30pm

We need Drivers!

We currently only have 16 students taken care of for our field trip on Monday to the Ogden Nature Center. We need seats for 12 more students. We are supposed to be snowshoeing, but with the limited amount of snow, we will most likely be hiking instead. All of our students were sent home with information regarding this field trip on Monday. If you are able to drive and/or chaperone, please email Marissa at marissakay90@gmail.com. Marissa will be sending out a carpooling wejoinin by tomorrow. You’ll need to contact her in order to get your student signed up for a carpool. If we do not get enough drivers, you will be responsible for finding a way to get your student to/from the field trip.

A huge thank you to all those who participated in our first field trip! It was a success and we wouldn’t have been able to go without your help! We were complemented by the staff at the Leonardo for how “respectful and engaged” our students were.

Be on the lookout for information from Marissa Hart in regards to our next field trip to the Ogden Nature Center on Monday, February 5th, 2018. Field trip permission forms were signed with today’s field trip. If you have not reached out to Marissa, please do so as she will be assisting our classroom with setting up drivers and chaperones. Carpool Sign-ups/Boosters

Wednesday is our big day! Please make sure your student is placed in a carpool. Here is the link to sign your student up: https://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/xdljx.

Secondly, parents have asked about boosters. If your student needs a booster, it is your responsibility to have your student bring their own booster for carpool. Make sure their first and last name is somewhere on the booster.

Missing Permission Slips/Sign-up Your Student for Carpool

The following students have not turned in their permission slips: Carsen, Isaiah, Jonathan, Dash, Andrew, Zyan, Kaido, and Brinlee. Your student will not be able to attend our field trip without a signed permission slip.

We are in need of volunteers to drive and chaperone at our first field trip on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 from 9:00am-1:00pm to The Leonardo Museum in Salt Lake City. We will need you to transport students, pay for parking, and chaperone during our visit. If you are able, please list how many students you can fit in your vehicle.
