My name is Lana Pas. I am originally from Portland, Oregon, where I was born and raised. I am married and have one dog. My husband is in the Air Force, which is what brought us here to the beautiful state of Utah.
This is my second year as a Lower Elementary teacher at Maria Montessori Academy. Prior to joining Maria Montessori Academy staff, I was one of the Lower Elementary lead teachers at Elizabeth Academy from 2013-2017. Here, I worked with students with exceptionalities along with typically developing students. From 2011-2013 I was the lead Lower Elementary teacher at Evergreen Montessori Academy. I also taught in the Melba S. Lehner Children’s School at Weber State University from 2010-2011.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development from Weber State University along with my American Montessori Society Lower Elementary teaching credential through the Institute for Montessori Innovation at Westminster College. I will graduate with my K-6 Level 1 License in Spring 2019 and with my Masters of Curriculum and Instruction in Fall 2020.
When I am not found in my classroom, I am out exploring with my husband and dog. We enjoy exercising, skiing, dirt bike riding, camping, backpacking, disc golf, baseball, and soccer. When there is downtime, I enjoy reading, quilting, and playing board games.
I look forward to getting to know your family. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments at LPas@mariamontessoriacademy.org.
Kindly,
Ms. Lana
