Today is the first day of our food drive! We have the opportunity to earn some big money for our school by participating in the Besst Realty “Curse of the Hungry Child” 4th Annual Food Drive. Donations will be accepted Oct. 25th-Nov. 9th. The school will be accepting donations in the morning during drop-off and in the afternoon during pick-up! There will also be a box in the front lobby to drop the donation off anytime during the school day. Please don’t bring anything with water, seasoning packets, or Ramen noodles. We can’t wait to help our local food banks!

Monday:  Houses will design and prepare a door cover to participate in the door decorating contest. (They can also design posters), tie ribbons on east fence

Tuesday:  Dare Assembly by Officer Childs

Wednesday: Complete decorating door & posters for Red Ribbon Week

Thursday:  Work Cycle (remember, you can make arrangements to move around on this work cycle.)

Friday: Personal World or Service taking down Red Ribbons from east fence

We are looking for certified drivers & chaperones for the JH Fall Farm Trip. The trip will take place on November 16th & 17th. Half of the school will attend the first day, and the other half will attend the next day. Drop off time will be at 9:00 am, pick up will be at 2:30 pm. If you are willing to drive or chaperones please contact Ms. Jessica or Ms. Leigh.

Please sign up for which room you would like to eat lunch in for the month of NOVEMBER. We encourage students to coordinate with friends to select a room that works for them. Please sign up once, if sign up more than once all of your names will be deleted. Also, make sure that you sign up with your correct name, all other names will be deleted. The sign up will close the morning of November 1st, students who do sign up for a room will be assigned one by Ms. Jessica.

Attention Parents!

MMA JH would like to offer you a great scholarship opportunity to help the JH by becoming a certified parent driver. We have 4 scholarships, that will cover all expenses, available for JH parents.

We appreciate parents who become certified to drive students on class field experiences. Having parent drivers allows classes to stretch their field trip funds by avoiding bussing costs. This can allow for more field trip opportunities for the students.

Field experiences are a crucial part of the Junior High curriculum, because of this we would like to encourage parents to take advantage of this opportunity. If you would like one of these scholarships, please email Ms. Jessica at jatwood@mariamontessoriacademy.org.
