Here is a PDF of the course descriptions for the classes we will be offering.  During advisory, students will be supported to register for the classes of their choice.  Mind that each house has three spaces per offered course.  Students will also be given time to clean out their backpacks and daily binders in preparation to the new cycle.

Wednesday: Team building activity,  “Communicating with Legos.”  Ms. Emily has graciously agreed to share her precious Legos to aid the student body in learning effective communication.

Thursday: Each student will establish a S.M.A.R.T. goal for the Patterns Cycle.  See attached Goal Guide ‘Smart Goal for Patterns.’

Friday: For Personal World we will be reading and preparing for our Socratic Dialogue for Monday January 23rd.  Together, we will read through this Shel Silverstein poem and make notes that will help direct our discussion on Monday.

Cycle 3 – Power

Our third cycle will begin with the new semester on January 16th. This cycle’s theme is POWER

The elements of POWER are

1) Power is the ability to influence.

2) Power may be used or abused.

3) Power is always present in some form.

4) Power may take many forms (chemical, electrical, political, mechanical…)

Power is important to teens, whether it is something they have or something they wish for. The gateways of transcendence, initiation, and the search for meaning and purpose will all be covered within this cycle. You can view specific course information for this cycle Here —–>Long Term Plan – Year C

If you have questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to your student’s teachers.
