Field Trip Update

I hope I remembered to include all the information you need for the field trip on Friday. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

  • Meet at North Shore Parking Lot at 11:30 I will be across from all of the handicap parking stalls about the third or fourth isle from the entrance closest to the pool. Please look for a sign that says MS JILL.
  • Leave North Shore at 11:45
  • The address of the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts, where the performance will be held is 3950 West Campus Dr, Ogden, UT 84408.  BC Event Parking (2)
  • Look for MS JILL sign. I plan on meeting for drop off and pick up at the corner of the Kimball Visual Arts Center.
  • Chaperones will need to pay for parking. Public Pay Lot (PPL) cost is $1.50 for the first hour and $1.00 for each hour after.
  • If you are NOT returning your child to the school, please contact the office to check them out.
  • I will return to the school as quickly as possible; I can not leave Weber State until all students rides have arrived. I hope to be to the school before 2:30.

 

Thank you for your replies regarding your transportation plans. If you responded that your child would need a ride please sign up for one with one of our parent drivers. I am concerned that we may not have enough rides for everyone. If you are providing transportation for your child there is a place to sign up for that also.

It is very important that you let Gloria gloria_payne@yahoo.com  know as soon as possible if you are able to take your child and any other students on the field trip.

Your students will be asked to wear dress code clothing. We will be talking and practicing grace and courtesy for this event, it would be helpful if you could have a conversation with your child about expected behavior.

The performance begins at 12:30, we want to allow plenty of time for driving, walking and finding seats to be ready for the curtain opening. The Magic Lake is about an hour long. The drivers will be back to Weber State at 1:45. If you choose to take your child home after the field trip, please call the school to check your child out. For those students returning to the school, we should be back to the school before 2:30.

The drivers will be back to Weber State at 1:30. If you choose to take your child home after the field trip, please call the school to check your child out. For those students returning to the school, we should be back to the school before 2:30.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you email me with your child’s transportation plan! I need to hear from everyone. If you are willing to provide transportation from the school to Weber State and back to the school please let me know how many seats you have available. If you will be providing your own child’s transportation, I need to know, If you will need to snag a ride for your child, I will need to know. Making sure that all students have transportation is very important to  me. Please help me reduce stress by letting me know your plan or needs. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Unfortunately the seating is very limited, we have been asked to invite only 2 parent chaperones, I have invited our Room Mom’s Gloria and Dorothy.

I will be sending out information about where to park, the cost of parking and a ride share sheet. Look for it on the 10th or 11th.

Hello!

We have had a great couple of days, I am enjoying getting to know your children.

I still speak to Ms. Trish, she is doing great, we miss her and hope that she will be able to volunteer in our room!

Ms. Jenn is our new assistant. She is a very positive and happy person. She has many talents and I am looking forward to what she will bring to the class.

Thank you for all of the school supplies. We really appreciate them. I am hoping to get the snack sign up and add a few things to the blog within the next week.

This week we are going over guidelines, boundaries and team building. We hope that by the end of the week everyone feels more comfortable and  they have a friend or at least has an idea of who they would like to have as a friend.
