Love you all!

Friends, Students and Families at MMA,

I am informing you that I will be leaving my position as a Lower Elementary Teacher. Due to sudden and startling personal family situation , I am no longer able to fulfill the responsibilities of my role, and I feel it is in the best interests of the school, students and my family that I discontinue the position.
I have concerns that my leaving will cause my MMA family and friends a great inconvenience. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you think there is any way I can assist in making the transition smoother.
Thank you so much for understanding, I enjoy working with you and I appreciate my time at the school. I hope we will be able to stay in touch and I look forward to seeing how MMA grows in the future.

I would like to invite you to make an appointment for Parent Teacher Conferences. If you think we will need to speak about your child longer than 15 – 20 minutes please schedule two appointments. If the dates and times do not meet with your schedule please email me and we can make arrangements for a time that works.

I want to thank you all for helping out with The Magic Lake field trip! We had a few hiccups but overall it went well, if we ever do that trip again I will definitely make a few changes. The play was great! We spent some of our time Monday talking about it and making feathered fans!

Please look out for peachy colored paper that should have came home Monday. It is information about our upcoming field trip and a permission form for most of the other field trips we will have this year. Please keep the first page about the Green Acres Field Trip. The second page I need back please. It is the Informed Consent page. Please check or initial the line at each field trip you would like your child to attend. For The Student Consent section I just need the printed name of your child and for you to have a conversation about proper behavior and for your child to write or sign their name to agree to the rules of the field trip. For The Parental Consent I will need your child’s name, parent or legal guardian printed name, the date and the signature.

There is no limit or charge to parent chaperones. You may bring younger siblings, a $4.00 charge will be required. The Students field trip fees will be paid from our school’s field trip fund. There is a pumpkin patch children can purchase a pumpkin, they charge per 5 pounds.Meaning that it’s $1.00 for a pumpkin 1-5 lbs.  Your child will have to carry their own pumpkin if they choose to purchase one, please limit to $1.

We will be eating lunch around 12:00 at the farm, please bring a sack lunch. I would suggest a small backpack to carry it and a water bottle.

We would like our group to all be wearing navy blue, or close to it, please to not feel obligated to purchase navy blue if your child does not have navy blue.

We will be attending this field trip with two other classes, Ms. Kaley and Ms. Mikaela. We will be meeting at the North Shore Parking Lot. On our information sheet I changed the leaving time from 10:00 to 9:45. I don’t think Ms. kaley or Ms. Mikaela changed their time, maybe that will be a good thing as it may be easier to find one another at North Shore. We are expected to be to the farm at 10:30 and ready to begin rotations. Ms. April will be in the classroom at 2:30, for those returning to the school.

 

If you could please respond on track it Forward before Friday, I can arrange the groups for chaperoning, The personnel from the farm has asked us to divide all three classrooms into 5 different groups, If you have another child in one of those classrooms or your child has friends or you are giving rides to others from Ms. Kaley or Ms. Mikaela’s rooms please let me know by emailing me directly or by indicating on the Track it Forward sheet, I plan on the chaperones being with students from our classroom and then joining one of the five groups once at the farm. If you are chaperoning please plan on attending from 10:30 to 1:45. If you are needing or providing transportation for students please make arrangements for your child to have a ride both to and from the farm. If you only need or can provide transportation one way please indicate your needs on the Track it Forward sheet  in the comments section.
