We are building a beautiful community in our classroom. We are learning about the birth of the universe and the coming of life on Earth. The students created their own molecules after they learned about the tiny particles of atoms. They learned about the cosmic nesting boxes to learn about the vastness of the universe and where they are on the map. We will be learning about the story of writing and mathematics. Our work cycle consisted of learning about procedures: rolling a rug, how we use the materials on the shelf, using grace and courtesy. Next week we will begin our full work cycle using work charts. They will use their work chart to navigate what works to choose from the math and language shelves. I will be giving lessons to help guide them on how to use the materials.

We start P.E. and music next week on Tuesday. Please make sure your child has shoes that will be a good fit for P.E. so they can participate safely. This will be every Tuesday for the school year.  In January on Friday, we will start art for the last half of the school year.
