The Spelling Bee is fast approaching on Feb 27th. The children are coming home today with information concerning its process. Please take a look at it. If you would like a full list, please either email me or ask your student to let me know to print one.
Also, please sign up for a conference spot here. This particular conference will be led by your child, though I will be present for any questions, comments or concerns. They are currently reviewing the progress reports and contemplating where they believe they fit on the scale of progress. You could converse with them over the next few weeks, leading to conferences about their ideas regarding their progress, too.
In addition, 6th years need to have selected their Science Fair topics and begun their research. 5th years need to be working with parents or older siblings on their JA Biztown booklets. All students are beginning their Word Studies project Thursday, this week.
I have learned of a tech tool to use for more immediate reminders. It will be just like receiving phone text reminders from a place you frequent and receive coupons from. If you would like to be part of it, receiving daily or weekly reminders of work students need to be completing, please follow these instructions. I am eager to be in closer contact with you as parents to allow students better ways to remember their work and duties. Thank you in advance to all those who sign-up!
