Hello Parents!

I have set up Parent Teacher Conference sign ups on Track it Forward. Parent Teacher Conferences will be December 17,18, and 19. I have set up nine slots for each day. Please choose the time that works best for you! If you have not yet set up an account on Track it Forward you can do so at https://www.trackitforward.com/site/mapa Once you have set up an account please go to the events tab and find “Mr. Colton’s PTC” on the calendar. Please remember that your students home project for the International Festival is due this week! The festival is on Friday. Please send your student to school with the project as soon as possible. Students will only be able to participate if they have completed a project. If it does not get finished they will be working on their research during the festival. Parents you are invited! Please come out and check out all of the awesome projects! The Festival is from 1-3 on Friday November 18! I would love to see you all come!

Also, I have set up an account on the app Remind. This is an app where I can send out text messages with reminders of important dates. Such as due dates, upcoming events, etc. If you are interested in this please join the class at https://www.remind.com/join/gg8hk4  OR text @gg8hk4 to  81010

Reminders!

Our Fun Run is next week on Wednesday November 13th. Please encourage your students to get pledges. We have come up with pledge goals as a class, such as, hat day, pizza party, etc. I know the kiddos are super excited for these awards so please encourage them to ask friends, family, etc.

Also, Good news! Our Original Works deadline has been extended. There is still time to order something with your child’s artwork on it and still receive it before the holidays. You have until November 9th now. Late orders can be submitted until the 15th. Your children all worked hard on their art and are proud of it. These make good, easy gifts for grandparents and other family members. The ornaments and quilt squares are great keepsakes. Please take some time to view your options and order. The proceeds from this go directly to your student’s teacher to be used in the classroom. Simply follow the instructions provided on the Dear Family Letter you received previously.
