This is a message from Angela, our MAPA president:
Hi Parents,

Thank you so much to everyone who has already signed up to help at Fall Festival! October is a pretty busy month as far as MAPA and volunteering go so we need help from so many. If you haven’t had a chance to sign up yet there is still time. We need several more volunteers to keep all of the activities open. This year MAPA will be implementing the “no volunteer, no activity” moto again. This means that any time we have a volunteer need and no one has signed up that activity will be closed for the time slot.

Not only do we have Fall Festival this month we also have Parent Teacher Conference dinners and Book Fair October 15-17th.

Please, please follow the link and sign up where you are able. Please note there are multiple signups for all events on the calendar. If one is full please click on the next signup sheet. If you have any questions you can email MAPA at mapa@mariamontessoriacademy.org.

6th and 9th Grade Jr. Artisan Fair Announcement and Signup Link

Please join us for our first Jr. Artisan Fair! This showcase of hand made goods is put on by our 6th and 9th grade students to help raise money for their upcoming field trips. This fair will be running during the same hours and location as the Maria Montessori Academy Fall Festival, come and enjoy two great events at once, all while supporting our students!

Please note that Artisan Ally is a cash only section at the Fall Festival and will not accept tickets to purchase items.

Fall Festival Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteering during our annual Fall Festival is a fun, easy way to earn hours toward your 40 hours of required volunteer time.

Please see this message from our room mom, Natalie.

With fall festival being less than a month away (Friday October 12th) I was hoping to start getting organized and get the word out about donations and volunteer opportunities! 
Our booth this year is crazy easy! We are offering temporary hair color! This involves the spray in hair color and stencils for a fun rockin’ new style at the festival! 
If you would like to volunteer to help run the booth, I promise you it will be easy. Let me know if you would like to do a thirty minute shift or a full hour. We absolutely want you to come and have fun with your families so I am not asking anyone to come run the booth all night, unless you feel you absolutely want to. 
As for donations we are asking for the spray in hair color cans–as many as we can lay hands on. Walmart has them right now in their Halloween section, and I think Target has some at their store as well. Donations can be turned into Ms. Amity’s room until Friday October 12th at 2pm.

With the Gala less than two weeks away, we are starting to wrap things up:) If you still wanted to donate to any of the class baskets here is a list of the baskets the room parents are just putting finishing touches to:

Ms. Brittany- Exercise Basket

Ms. Kaley- Golf Basket

Ms, Krista- Golf Basket (no additional items need to be donated to this basket, the whole basket was donated by staker-parson)

*There are some items that we are looking for to be added to some tickets that were donated.  If anyone is interested in donating:

– Train toy & Train Book

– Dinosaur toy & Dinosaur Book

– Birthday party supplies cake mix/frosting/candles/party etc… We will need two sets total of this

Gala Basket Donations Needed

Good afternoon!

Our class is building a basket to be auctioned off at the Gala.  This year we have chosen bird watching as the theme for our basket.  Please check out the We Join In link to sign up to donate items to fill our basket.  All proceeds go to MAPA, our parent organization, who uses the money to fund field trips, purchase playground equipment, safety items and more!

If you have an idea for an item that isn’t on the list, just let me know.  All donations are welcome!  We are aiming to have the basket filled by March 1.
