Week of February 24, 2020

Hello Parents,

We have some neat things coming up that we want you to be aware of.

Literacy Week is February 24-28 with the theme of “Reading Helps You Reach for the Stars!” Here is the breakdown of events-

Monday: Book Swap all week (donate a book in exchange for another), Read-a-thon (have your child bring a few of their favorite books).

Tuesday: Spelling Bee for 3rd-9th grade at 9:30 am in the large gym. Parents invited.

Wednesday: Students bring a picture of their favorite book.

Thursday: Literacy Night 5:30-7 pm. Bring your friends and family for a night of fun and a chance to win a dress-down day (by coming and participating in some of the events)! Book Fair!

Friday: Community readers. Contact us if you are interested in reading your favorite childhood book to our class.

Emotion Coaching Workshop- This is a wonderful course that we will host at MMA. If you know of anyone needing some great parenting skills, Weber Human Services will be here coaching this on Wednesday March 4 and April 15 at 1-3:30.

Gala- Our 10th annual Maria Montessori Gala will be held March 21 starting at 6:30 at the Timbermine.  This is a fun event and one of our biggest fundraisers. This includes a dinner, country line dance lesson;  wonderful items to bid on as well as beautiful works of art created by our children. Following are the links for the Gala Tickets and an opportunity to donate if you would like-
