Week of May 13, 2018

Hello Parents,

Monday we will-dye our shirts for the fieldtrip on Friday. Remember the fieldtrip will be at Oaklawn Park on Friday, May 17, 2019. Times for you to drop off and pick up you children are- AM 9:00 am – 11:30 am and PM 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm. We welcome parents to help with the fieldtrip if you would like to come. Ms. Jen will be adding a link to track-it-forward for volunteers to sign up for apples for our snack on the fieldtrip. This will be for both classes. Please keep your eyes out for it.

There will be one more “Box Top” store for this year. It will be held on Wednesday, May 15.

Looking ahead at our bridging ceremony on Monday, May 20, remember there will not be regular class that day for Early Childhood. The ceremony will be held in the Big Gym and all Kindergarten children should be on the stage in their seats so we can begin at 10:30. Families are invited to attend and bring a sack lunch for afterwards if you would like to join us in this tradition. Our preschoolers and their families are also welcome to attend if they would like to support their peers, however, they will not be bridging. Everything should be wrapped up around noon.

I have spent the last two days doing the KEEP assessments. I will be finishing them up hopefully by next Wednesday. Ms. Valerie and Ms. Kimber will both be in the classroom while I do the assessments. We will be learning about the people of the rainforests in Africa as well as learning about the life cycle of flowers and insects.

If you have not had a chance to sign up for PTC please take time to sign up soon. We look forward to seeing everyone to celebrate the accomplishments of your children. Here are the links:
