Dear Parents,

Students need to bring their projects either Friday (12/16) or Monday (12/19). On Tuesday, we will be presenting our projects to the school, and attending families. Please practice beforehand, in order to be more comfortable, with the topics.

Dear Parents,

Some of the students slippers are starting to look pretty rough. This would make a great Christmas gift! Please check with your  child for the condition of their slippers.

Thanks,

Miss Elise

Dear Parents,

On Thursday, we sent home reading parts for new students, and level 1’s. We have been practicing a lot in the classroom, but it would give them an extra boost of confidence, if they practiced at home as well. We are looking forward to preforming on Wednesday!

Thanks,

Miss Elise

Dear Parents,

Please make sure your children bring appropriate winter attire for recess. If they want to play in the snow, they need to have snow pants. Please have them wear heavy coats, mittens/gloves, and boots. Also, we sent home water bottles before Thanksgiving to be cleaned. Please bring them back. It is a distraction, to have students going out of the class to the drinking fountain, multiple times a day.

Thanks,

Miss Elise

Dear Parents,

International festival is coming up! For those who are unfamiliar with this event, it is a school wide, continent studies presentation. Our class will be presenting our topics on Africa. Students have already had a chance to pick their topics. If they haven’t, brainstorm with them, on what about Africa is of interest to them.  This will be the December home project. I really want the students to think outside of the box, with these projects. If you have artifacts, different types of foods, or dress, it would be a great to draw in students. Unlike our usual presentations, everyone will be set up at once. Other people from around the school, will walk around and listen to presentations. Please make sure that students practice their presentation. We want students sharing what they learned, not just reading their presentation. Families are welcome are come. We will presenting these projects on December 20th, from 12:30-2:30. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Parents,

We will be doing store this Friday the 9th. Students will be able to earn “money” during the week to use at the store. I asked students to come up with their own ideas, for what booth they want at the store. Please don’t go to the store, and buy items for this event. I have given them ideas like, drawing pictures, making bracelets, hair styling etc. I also reminded the students about no exchanges, or refunds. All sales are final. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks,

Miss Elise
